700 monuments in 240 locations in 20 regions of Italy will open their doors to the public, the only time that they can be visited. The province of Verona participates in the events. Consult the website for a list of open properties.
As always, the calendar is rich with important operas that will delight the public. Some of them are Carmen, Aida, Turandot, Madama Buttergly, Romeo et Juliette. It also includes shows by Placido Domingo and Roberto Bolle.
The VeronaMarathon takes place along a characteristic route that reveals the city's artistic patrimony. The "Last 10Km Marathon", in aid of charity, the ""Duo Veronamarathon" (a relay) and "VeronaRace10 km" (a non-competitive race) are held on the same day.
The festival features various concerts in churches. Concerts will start at 8:30pm.

The first sunday of the month you can visit Arena, Casa di Giulietta, Castelvecchio, Teatro Romano, Museo di Storia Naturale, Museo Lapidario Maffeiano and Tomba di Giulietta at a special price: 1 euro per monument/museum.
Galleria dello Scudo hosts an exhibition dedicated to Emilio Vedova. The public can admire "De America", a series of some fifty paintings on paper and canvas created by Emilio Vedova in Venice between 1976 and 1977.
